All my kids want to do is get on the ipod or computer and talk to their friends on line. Adults too are spending copious amounts of time in front of a screen each day. No wonder we can't solve the worlds problems.....we are just not doing anything constructive with our spare time. How about we demand a "time out" period from these service providers so that each day people are forced to switch off and go out and do something USEFUL! Productivity levels are probably suffering too as e.g. people tune in to xxxxbook to see what their friends did for morning tea. Seriously! There's plenty of positives attached to all this new technology but are we aware of the negatives. Maybe we have forgotten about what matters most in society. Everyone's health and happiness. Just thinking out load.
