Did you know that the United States is currently in breach of its obligation to contribute to the funding of the United Nations by over $3billion? This is at the same time as it is setting up a so called Board of Peace to allegedly substitute for the United Nations with its own corrupt leader as its Chair and absolute controller? Now, if that isn't James Bond movie worthy in terms of evil, I do not know what is, and Tony Blair and all others involved should have nothing to do with it. Admittedly, the USA has historically paid the highest contributions to the running of the UN by a long way. But in exchange it has benefitted enormously financially by hosting the UN Headquarters in New York. Imagine the revenue that the annual meeting of the General Assembly generates each September when the leaders of the whole world and their delegates convene there? No. The population of the USA, GOP in particular, and Trump have disentitled the USA to the privilege of effectively running the UN by allowing Trumps' complete undermining of the institution. I suggest we set up a new UN on neutral territory - perhaps a slice of Mongolia quarantined as an international space - and establish the headquarters there. Together with 1. amending the veto structure to require, say, 3 vetoes to stop a resolution, and 2 recognizing the UN charter security powers as permitting global regulation and enforcement of on issues of common security. These measures will re-enliven the UN, and launch a new era of peace and co-operative global governance in a way that protects everybody.
