Teach global politics at school

The problems with the world seem to stem from a global misunderstanding that enforceable global rules do not exist. They do. The reason we don't realize it is that our education system teaches us the lessons taught to the previous generations, which did not have such rules. Things will not change while people do not understand the principles of international rules based order as they currently stand, because people don't even know what they want to enforce or change. For example, did you know 1. The UN does not discriminate against countries on the grounds they are dictatorships. Rather, it is an international organization with 192 members founded on a commitment to state sovereignty, whether the state is democratic or not. 2. That it requires member states, which are all countries in the world, to uphold norms in their dealings with each other. 3. That it has powers to enforce resolutions though brute physical force if necessary for the global security of all peoples? Only if people know what the rules are, can they demand the enforcement of them. Only if people understand the geopolitical landscape of today, can they know what changes need demanding. Geopolitics affects us all today more so than previous generations, including the generations who had the two world wars, that caused the rules to be written. Geopolitics needs to be taught in schools.
