so, we are not 8.3 billion islands. Nor, I contend, are we 196 countries. We are, in my view of the world, more like three million three hundred twenty thousand groupls of 2,500 people. Because in every 2,500 people there are personality types to cover every role in society - the major, the criminal the artisan and the tech, the carer and the carefree, the vendor and the purchaser, the farmer and the butcher and the herbalist and the sportsperson, the tech and the builder, the musician and the hippie. take any random group of 2,500 and you will find a society. So lets not pretend we are more special than our neighbouring country.
