AI has overwhelming possibilities to benefit mankind. Its measure of success will depend upon: 1. whether the high premium paying, deep diving and deep energy consumption applications will be used primarily by financial market players to make money, or 2. whether the high premium paying deep diving and deep energy consumption applications will be used primarily by those whose objects are to help humanity. If the tech giants are truly anthropic, they will nudge availability of access to their most potent services towards the 2. If they are not, we are all doomed.
