It turns out there is an organized movement to get all governments to move at the same time on major global policy. It is called simpol and can be found at www.simpol.org. POW should promote simpol to increase awareness. The idea is that all national political parties are bound to put national competitiveness ahead of global good. So, if people commit their local member to agree to act if everyone else does, then we will end up with a lot of national politicians who have pledged to do it when the time comes. It may be 5 years away. But if we all start saying today, that we will only vote for a party that ages to simpol when the time comes, we will have saved our politicians from their dilemma. They would like to save the world too, after all. This is a fair way down the track in many countries.
