Defence subs, ships and planes. The development of AI on top of elite drone technology is making new military hardware redundant before it is built. AI guided uncrewed drones are the future and they will smash anything that is even slightly less sophisticated themselves. this was proved again last week in tests conducted by a European start up that pitted two AI controlled jets against each other. They picked up the evasive manoeuvrers pilots learn over a lifetime, in minutes. The slightly more sophisticated ones knocked the less sophisticated ones out of the sky in moments, and that will happen to every other traditional fighter jet in a matter of years, if not months. So why don't we all stop the spend on traditional war machines? Why don't we spend up on AI and drones, and, with the savings from not building new ships, submarines and planes, also invest in things that make the world better, like, I don't know, renewable electricity grid technologies and medical research?
