The world's greatest egoist has now had the global media on a string for over a year. Like a bunch of children, the mainstream media are constantly playing to his tune, looking in the direction he points sequentially and on cue. There are a lot of other important issues issues that deserve attention, not least climate change news, updates and planning; the crisis in adolescent mental health and developments in science. I'm not saying ignore Trump. It is interesting to watch a train crash in slow motion. But can the global media please not play constantly to his tune for a little while? Can there be a headline that does not start 'Trump says..'?
