More people coming
Certain things are locked into the future, and one is that the global population will add another billion people or so in the next few decades - barring an armageddon sized natural disaster of some kind.
Each additional person will have a carbon footprint of several hundred tonnes, no matter what happens with future renewables policies.
I say we should work with what have got to help mop up their carbon. Trees.
If the planet added another trillion trees (it already has around four trillion) in the next 40 years, that should soak up a lot of that extra carbon, right?
As individuals, we can support the array of projects around the world that are planting trees. :)
