Using our tools to govern better
Most national governments around the world have got onto the 'deliberative democracy ' train.
Whether it is 'My say', "My vote' or other direct lines to legislators to suggest policy change, it is a work in progress.
This idea is that the aggregation of information as to what works best in this space needs to be done and the whole process accelerated.
Obviously not all direct democracy systems are great and no one system will be perfect.
But developing the best ways to use the tools at our disposal, especially the internet, is a better of way of planning for government than 'business as usual' - voting for all power to be vested in one brain.
There are so many different brains that can contribute to sensible policy change. Lets work on ways to better harness people power.
