Realtime mapping of climate change
There are a lot of NGOs that have great maps and graphs to represent the perils of business as usual on global climate.
This idea is that the graphics could be improved and made more intuitive.
For example, there is a great graph that shows the cliff that fossil fuels need to fall off if we are to decarbonise our atmosphere in time to beat irreversible catastrophic global climate change.
It would be great to complement this kind of image with 'zoom in, zoom out' maps of the locations of the worst spots for emissions, including methane, and locations of increasing ice melt, both sea ice and glacial, and all ice melt trends for that matter.
The purpose of these maps would be to promote interest and awareness. Even if it is alarming, It would hopefully help make more people actually want to confront the problem head on, and fix it.
