Maybe current world events will be a wake up call to the people of the world of the consequences of weak institutions for global governance. Take the unilateral decision to by the USA to take over Gaza. If one permanent member of the Security Council can do as they please because they can veto any resolution for the rest of the UN to stop them, then any of them can, of course. Friends of USA cannot therefore object to China or Russia doing to others as USA proposes to do to Gaza. If you accept ignoring of international norms by one, you can hardly deny the right of others to do the same. Whether this present trend turns into international tyranny (possible), or a push for improved global governance (probably less likely if we are honest) is actually to the people of the world. The way to coalesce the thoughts and wants of the people of the world into mass decision making for the greater good, is actually to engage on platforms like this.
