Global User Pays V

To keep growing a previous idea: Global User Pays V Following on from an idea posted previously that users of fossil fuels pay for the privilege of sinking humanity further into a hole from which it will never be able to dig itself out - why not broaden it from the suggested areas of 1. Air travel; and 2. Pay per use of power hungry AI services; 3. An extra levy on fossil fuel that you put into your car; and 4. A surcharge on purchase of any items that are imported, with a higher tax for items purchased from further away (say, one tenth of a percent per kilogram for each 100 kilometres it needs to be transported - this can be done now with super computing)? and in addition 5. A profit tax on companies that are not certified sustainable under the new ISSB rules - with all proceeds going to a global climate change kitty to cover the cost of replacing fossil fuel grids with renewable grids. Further, why not "All countries who require companies to adopt the ISSB rules are eligible for contributions to the clean up of their grids from the fund, but those countries who do not, are not." When the goal is achieved, the levies come off. The above proposal, if widely implemented, will affect your lifestyle, but only a little bit. You will still be able to travel overseas by plane, buy goods from the other side of the world and drive a petrol car, if you want to. Those things might be a bit more expansive, but people who do that stuff can afford a bit more expense in my submission, Your Honours. The only other difference to your life will be that you will be preserving the beautiful planet on which you live for future generations.
