It was the scientific findings delivered at an emergency summit on the future, concerning the rapid loss of sea ice in Antarctica, including the occurrence of a "minus sigma 7 event" - a statistic regarding sea ice loss is so grave that scientists are baffled. In effect, it has been discovered that Antarctica is already in a probable runaway melting cycle caused by human induced climate change. To have a chance to save it, and therefore save our sea levels, we all need to stop polluting now. I am just not sure it actually made anyone's news feeds, or the nightly TV news?
