November 6 2024 was evidence that when it comes to climate, people may care, but ultimately they make decisions according to what they perceive as necessary for their immediate needs, first. That this applies to western and third world societies: - US voters as regards job security - Indonesian illegal logger as regards providing for their family They and all of us are the same animal - human. it clear that national governments are not going to save this planet, as they too often cater for short term needs of constituents to gain power. The people of the world need to speak with one voice to demand UN led regulation, and enforcement of regulation, on emissions. These regulations and their enforcement are doable under the current UN Charter - see other ideas on this platform including UN 2.0. I vote we demand them.
