we need to realize we are dumbing ourselves down with all this social media infotainment that distracts us from having quality discourse about interesting ideas. feeding people only what they want and dumbing down of debates causes division. it makes people less understanding of each other. algorithms, filter bubbles and this race to the bottom to get our attention is the modern day equivalent of the decadence that preceded the demise of the Roman empire this idea is to fight. rage against this machine that keeps our chins down and not up we need to stop the rot
