America is only as great as its education. Those who have been successful in this country know that, in order for America to continue to be a place of tremendous opportunity, education is the key our continued success. I therefore suggest the creation of a fund called: the Build America Education Fund. Individuals or families whose net worth is valued at above 500 million should be mandated by the government to contribute between 1% and 5% of their net worth (based upon a sliding scale) every year towards a privately managed, but government sponsored, Build America Education Fund. This fund will 1- increase the pay for teachers around the country, making teaching a competitive profession and thereby upgrading the brain pool 2- provide funds for adequate security at every school so that all schools are safe places for children 3- provide funding for existing schools that require infrastructure improvements. 4- provide funding for the creation of innovative classes and after school sessions that will help American children stay competitive in this new era 5- provide funding for technology upgrades that will allow students to have access to the most cutting edge information 6- provide funding for college education so that all Americans who want to, can have a college education.
