This idea is that we are heading in the wrong direction with workplace expectations in 2024. Since covid, we are apparently working more from home, but are staying connected to work tasks more after hours. I vote we should be working more 'at work' but for less hours. To quote Robin Dunbar, who has just completed a study on this topic: :..lack of daily contact causes people to lost eh sense of being part of community. In effect, (people become) less committed and more likely to leave" And as for staying connected after hours, I can say from 35 years experience that the less connected you stay after hours, the more you look forward to going to work in the morning! And the more holidays you take the more productive you are when working. Just 'is'.
