A global tree planting authority could be a good way of centralising data on tree planting schemes and activities in different countries, so we can all learn from each other about programs and structures of tree planting organizations that work. It could have structure all the way up and down from your local street to the global headquarters, so we all know what plants to propagate and where to go to plant them. Sure each country might need a Defence type budget to coordinate such a massive organization, but then again, where should we be directing our resources at this point in history? Each country could then have a 'go to' place that is set up under that authority, with information and experts. All people could then have the option of easily getting involved in tree planting through financial contributions, or, just by planting trees.
