There is now a 66% chance that we will see a year with warming above 1.5 C by 2027. This marks the transition to a frightening new era for humanity. Even if we pumped the breaks now, we would be in serious trouble. Yet we aren’t! So, towards 1.5 C we catapult… What will this new era entail for the global ecosystem and its citizens? There are plenty of scientific articles out there and well written science communication pieces to convey the facts to anyone open to knowing them- I will not relay them here, instead my idea is anyone who sees this post, goes and spends 30 minutes reading about the Post-1.5 C Era. If only we could have all of humanity do this… I’m sure it would kick us into collective action.
