True Democracy

technology and information in our age has become extremely easy to access. Why do we still have a few hundred individuals making decisions for all of us? If they speak for the majority of people, then why not let the majority of people speak for themselves? Let's create a system where our politicians create bills/laws etc.. and propose them online, in clear view to the population. When someone votes, they get a randomly generated access number. When politicians propose something, those people who have voted can log onto a government website and use this access number along with a SIN/social security type number for extra identification. On this site they can view the entire proposal, and then vote yes/no on it either as a whole or section by section. This gives voters a reason to vote because it actually gives them a voice. If approved, it'll be up to the politicians to implement it. Thus keeping a government which runs the country, but a country that's guided by the people.
