Wales, Hungary and a number of other countries have experimented with Commissioners for future generations, an ombudsmen for future generations, and similar. The idea being that someone in the government system can contribute to policy development debates with specific reference to the interests of future generations. Perhaps there should be a 'Minister for Future Generations', appointed in each government around the world, to give a louder voice to the children and adults of tomorrow.
