Barack Obama for next UN S-G

António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres has served as Secretary-General of the United Nations since 2017 and in my opinion he has done a good job. The next Secretary-General needs to be someone who can inspire, rally important people to do important things, and kick ass. The world is lucky to have few years left of Barak Obama in his prime. Let's use him. It is true that the Secretary-General is appointed by the General Assembly on the recommendation of the Security Council, and the selection is therefore subject to the veto of any of the five permanent members of the Security Council, including Russia and China. But the world should not be so defeatest as to bypass good ideas becasue someone will probably disagree. That just means we have to make the case a little harder. The world needs positive energy up the top - positive energy that has faith in the human condition, and ability to inspire, and the ear of world leaders. Despite the fact he will have detractors, Barack Obama does have faith in the human condition, an elite ability to inspire, and the ear of world leaders.
