Healthcare solved via necessary specialization.

I believe we need to abandon the whole "rounded college education" expectation. College is simply too expensive and time consuming, and that's why so few people go, not because they think they're stupid. If you're not in college, tell me, am I right? As the knowledge base of the human race inevitably grows, it becomes increasinly impossible to learn everything, thus we specialize - so some people are doctors, some are lawyers, some are mechanics, etc. We do this because it's more practical considering the size of the human knowledge base relative to an individual's lifespan and learning competency. Therefore, more and more people need to become increasingly specialized. We've run off course in this endeavor. Personally, I don't give a shit if my doctor knows what year the civil war ended, or about socio-political conditions in Russia during the late 19th century, or even if he knows how to give a speech, bla bla bla. I only care if my Doctor knows Biology and all necessary specializations. So therefore, I'd be happier if my doctor could cure me just as well having had 8 years of college, not 12. The best thing is, healthcare would be cheaper because there would be MORE doctors, AND they wouldn't have to spend so long of their early career paying off college debts. And everyone know the root of the problem is the COST of healthcare. Equally, I don't care if my physicist knows anything besides physics, etc. All necessary "well-roundedness" subjects are meant to be taught in High School, that's why HS is required, and college is not. Let's cut the strings involved in a college education, and make it closer to being the inalienable right that it is; feasible to all. If it's not your major, and you'll never need it to do the job that you are only in college to be able to do, then WHY REQUIRE IT? Especially if we already took it in High School. I mean, I'm sorry, did History change since High School? General and "Well Roundedness" courses belong in High School, not college. High School is where you learn to do EVERYTHING with novice expertise; College is where you learn to do ANYTHING with master expertise. People would be more likely to start and finish college because they'd be more interested in what they're doing - their major.
