In what world that houses eight billion people are the systems so bad that the whims of one can determine the fate of all the others? It is time for the people on this planet to have a good hard look at their systems of managing themselves. That does not necessarily mean world government. But it does mean some kind of world governance for keeping the influence of extreme characters - whose decisions can affect everybody - in check.
