funds dedicated to street clean up in all suburbs, regardless of socio-economic index.

in a 5-10 km bike ride around my house, i travel through multiple suburbs. what gets me, is the state of the streets going from suburb to suburb. high socioeconomic status suburbs are typically pristine, while less advantaged areas have rubbish floating about the streets. often in this case, it looks less like multiple people have just dropped their litter, and more like there has been a bin spill during rubbish pick-up. this would be attended to immediately in the suburb over, but is left disregarded here. i would hope we can find a way to value the state of the streets, no matter which suburb we are in. after all, rubbish is as bad for the environment and local wildlife in a disadvantaged suburb as it is in a rich one. it would be good to see equal funds dedicated to keeping streets clean across councils. high quality waste management services is a worthwhile cost.
