Sock makers should reinforce toes
How many socks are thrown away each year because of a hole in the toe?
I am pretty sure the sock manufacturers know this, but it is not in their interest to reinforce the toe area. ANd so billions of socks go to the tip every year while 99 % of the sock is perfectly fine.
I vote that sock shops should have a section marked for socks with reinforced toes. Those sections will become more popular than the rest of the sock shelves over time, and that will encourage more sock manufacturers to reinforce their toes.
