a global slight misunderstanding

There appears to be a slight misunderstanding. Our national governments DO try to look after our interests, yes, but we should not forget: their primary object is to win the next election. That fact can put policies that do not have immediate effect a little bit in the back seat. As this very natural shuffling of priorities accumulates over time, our longer term interests can, after a while, become dangerously unprioritized. It is nobody's fault, it is just the way it is. But it is 'the way it is', that is, 'business as usual', in global politics that has led us to the brink of environmental collapse which will bring with it economic collapse, which is where we are today. We now urgently need new organizational structures, globally. That is why it is important for the people of the world to talk to each other as global citizens about this. Thank you for reading.
