'Diverse media' - it might seem like the most boring policy statement in the world. It is not a sexy topic. But subtle and slow as the impact of closing down media outlets and the rights of journalists are, stifling diverse reporting and a variety of viewpoints is a one way ticket to a brainwashed public and an unsafe world.
