There is something about the human condition that compels us to undermine ourselves. At the moment, every researcher, academic and investor in AI have an unspoken goal - to push for greater and greater machine learning. It feels like we have to create a monster first, and then make some rules around that? This idea is that we should as a global society take steps to create a management protocol for the development of artificial intelligence, and then resume pushing for greater and greater AI. Not the other way around.
