There is an old tale of the village green being made open to all in the community to graze their cows, and some profiteering from that, causing the green to overgrazed and lost to all. COP 26 is a great fishbowl for us to see who are the pariahs in our global village. Most indulgent are surely the heaviest emitters per capita (carbon footprint per person) who have the capacity to transform their economies but refuse to take hard actions with others. On that scale, Australia is by far the biggest pariah in the global village. It needs to be called out on it. At least, that is as at the date of writing this idea.
