Add dentistry to Australia’s Medicare system so everyone can access care. Additionally, have every child checked and treated for dental issues at entry to primary and secondary schools. Use that opportunity to educate/remind about teeth brushing and flossing. For every dollar contributed by the government to dental care, the next year add that overall amount as additional GST on any food or drink item sold with added sugar. Provide subsidies/ bonuses / tax incentives for four businesses in the lowest socio economic areas for increasing their quantities of fresh fruit and vegetables sold. Support community led cooking groups in community hubs to encourage healthy sharing of food knowledge from all cultures and further develop social cohesion. Health care needs to cover all aspects of health and reward preventative measures.
