Too often we seem to be at the mercy of politicians that run for office, once they are elected it seems that they can do whatever they want. Whether they decide to honor there promises or not seems to be a simple hope and prayer by the citizenry. I believe the citizens should be able to remove a representative from office through popular CITIZEN vote, If they are not utilizing they're authority in a responsible way. It seems the only time a citizen has power is during the election each four years, regardless of the terrible job a representative does during that time, we should be more readily capable of removing them from office...While I am American, and it is America I reference, I believe this is a global issue.
