We need to enshrine the rights of animals in our constitutions. Another of many millions of reasons came up last week: A new company plans to launch a mirror to space to "sell sunlight" during the night: It claims that it will soon allow people to buy spots of sunlight reflected from a giant satellite mirror. It has even started taking reservations for its "sunlight-as-a-service" via an application on its website. While all the human pros and cons about this are being argued, the real issue here is fairness to animals. We share our planet with animals, right? We have to stop treating it as our own.
