Air purifier

Develop a technology to make the air that we breath cleaner. I believe that there are already some technologies that prevent pollution to go on the atmosphere ( in the cars exhaustors, for instance), but we could make something to put on cars, buses, houses, offices, and streets, that separate the clean air from pollution, retaining the pollution and giving the clean air back to the atmosphere. Maybe we could turn this retained pollution in something useful, like we are already doing with waste. I´m not sure if this is possible or desirable, nor if somebody already has made it, but I always think Environment in terms of Organization of natural elements. The pollution is the result of a "bad organization". So, let´s re-organize the Nature. Of course we should not pollute, but considering that we won´t stop polluting instantly, it might be a helpful tool.

  • The clean up is the key. When the air that is is toxic then what else can be do but start to filter the 'air' within our atmosphere. At the apex of cleansing the truest event horizon being the point of no return from a healthy consistent flow of 'air' that is maintained to promote planetary health, case point...this idea can only have a positive profound impact on all that call Earth home.

  • Agree, however who will implement? The car makers, the oil refineries, (manufacturing, freight carriers, airplanes, the mining industry, all will put money before the greater good. Until you get governments to actually make this a priority then no amount of technology will help will solve the issue. I wish it would. This has to be made a REAL priority on the world stage and until it does we are the helpless few.

  • Ok I hear you yet first and foremost there must be a level of understanding of what needs to change, once that need for change is understood then it is not a question of listing the issues we all know exist it becomes a question of choices and creating choices so there is the right choice to choose and then once chosen, it then becomes a question of how to accomplish the task at hand. I am tired of hearing no one will do this or that, so if the issue is clear why just poke holes and not offer up more of a solution. I am not saying I have all the answers, I am saying that there needs to be a balance within pointing out the issues and also taking the time to also within the same breath suggest a new perspective and or a valid fresh and or old school idea that holds wisdom and 'new air' into this forum of such a great conceptual platform that until now has not been available to exercise the truth within mind and being. Solutions with issues, think that is much more real, may I say I am no better, I am not however going to create more of an issue.. end of.

  • yesterday I was not logged in when I posted the note directly above, marked 'Anonymous'. I needed to put the fact I am a member posting am not in fact anonymous :*) I also have a need to add that filters that are only an option within this area have perhaps not yet been invented ( recyclable into products that can be reused at the pace there created, diversity of the products that are sourced from recycling previously used products is essential). On the other hand I would say that all of this is possible within this moment. I have seen products like plastics for camping that once used start to break down. The case point here is the science and technology exist so why do we not make it more profitable for the investments to be guided into the perfection and ultimate production of this technology. Affordable to anyone with the added bonus of a company also making money, providing jobs and all in which this idea entails benefit. Air and water sustains all life on Planet Earth. Air and water, many of the answers we need are already here, this idea is a must yet in my opinion is it's wording is in need so the question can accomplish holding the platform in which it's placed. I am confused as to how to comment on such a short sited question, may be my own struggle with control still, need to understand why I feel this way about this question.

  • still posting Anonymous??????? My Name should appear as Canucky :*) sorry must be a bug, bug, bug :*)

  • Thanks for you comments. I really liked the things you´ve said here, Canucky. I agree with you that it could happen, and I think that interest in implementation is not the problem. I´m also tired of hearing that no one will make things happen because everyone is selfish, I think there are ways to do things, either through self-interest or through volunteer altruistic actions (I think the first option is more likely, specially in cases like that idea). The questions to pose, in my opinion, are two: How to develop technology for that (I think that maybe there´s already something like this going on around the world - because we already have similar technologies that transform things like garbage and wastewater in useful substances). The second question, and most important, maybe: Is this desirable? Could this really help the environment, or it could cause harms that we didn´t think about? I have a positive answer for both questions, I really think that this can be developed, and with the technologies that we have today, it would be relativelly easy. And I think it would actually help the world and its environment. So, the three possible objections that came to me until the moment (those two and that one made by "000001666"), are not obstacles, I guess. But I´m not from the natural sciences, I ain´t no Engineer, Phisicist or Chemist or anything like this, so, correct me if I´m wrong , if this is a stupid idea.

PS: I´m sorry for any mistake in the English writing (not sure if i should be sorry for that, but, anyways).....

  • well theres lots of ways to rdecue air pollution well we can start by baby steps like carpoling an riding bikes n stuf than we can make it big like adding windmills and puting solar panels to make energy we could also plant more trees and do a lot more stuff that im still thinking of and we could also invent cars that come from our own waste ( trash ) like mulch and stuff so we dont use so much gasoline and it could also help with pollution cause your thrash can is your own car and thats what we use to run it so the trash dosent go to the water and thats meaning no more dead frogs to but remember to acomplish something you always have to start with baby steps and thats how i think we can help with air polution water pollution endangered animals ect.

  • Oh, you mean the Flora itself? Yes, it´s really the best kind of air purifier of the world, I agree with that. But I´m not sure if it makes my idea useless.

  • One problem is that pollution often gets diluted into the regular air. For example the Co2 in the atmosphere is 391 Parts Per MILLION! Conventional Pollution in cities is actually somewhat doable however as it is a larger fraction of the air.
