School to work

To save money on education costs and prepare our youth for the work force. There should be work electives in public high schools. These electives would allow students to work on campus and earn credits. There can even be college tuitions savings accounts established for students wages.

  • We are talking world not just the nation you live in, education systems differ

  • Good idea. In fact, many school systems already have this system. In the school I go to, which is in West Hills, CA (I noticed you are from Santa Monica so my school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District) there is a work elective in which work credits are earned.
