We are all fellow passengers to the grave

I think that the world would be a better place if we all followed this Charles Dickens quote, saying that people should "...open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on their journeys."

  • love for others is essential to the human condition when seeking happiness and fulfillment in life.

  • I object because I understand your point, but we can't force people to follow a quote. people will always have different: Upbringings;teachings; beliefs; opinions....etc.
though if I had to stress one of them, it would be opinion. we all have the right to our own opinion. if someone wishes not to follow something, then that's completely up to them. - and we can't change their mind.

also, many Religions/faiths would disagree, and this quote in its self may begin tension between races and country's.

people may think to them selves, religion is not needed. but remember, it was the Church that started longer term - Education, like schools. and most religions help tend to the poor.

  • "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" - Jesus the Messiah

  • Grant me wings that I can fly
    My restless soul is longing
no pain no feeling eternity awaits.
    Life unencumbered by religion\,faith

  • Thanks for inrinductog a little rationality into this debate.
